Star-Crossed Fossils


Thought this was so cool!
Found outside Mantua, 25 miles south of Verona-dating to Neolithic Period

It makes me wonder how they died like that, it looks planned and that is never a good thing.

Oh, sam, I hope not. That would be awful. Though, like spin doc, I do wonder what happened. My first thought on seeing was not Romeo and Juliet, despite being found-coincidentally-found near Mantua, but rather Verdi's opera about the entombed lovers. (At least I think Verde wrote Aida) Maybe they died separately and were buried like that later?? Who knows. Very intriguing, though.
